THE WORLD VERTICAL
HELI-SKIING RECORD HAS BEEN BROKEN !
Two San Francisco business women, Jennifer Hughes (skier - left) and Tammy McMinn (snowboarder - right), went to Klondike Heliskiing in Atlin, B.C., Canada to set the benchmark vertical in women's heli-skiing and boarding! On April 20th,1998 a historic day, not only were three new world records set by these women, but four existing world records were either broken or bettered! They set the first women's heli-skiing, snowboarding, and group record. They also broke the world vertical heli-skiing record set by Mark Bennett. Klondike Heliskiing now owns the women's, men's, and consequently all world heli-skiing records. In addition, their vertical achievement surpassed both the men's and women's 24 hours of Aspen totals.
